As a seasoned writer and communications strategist with over two decades of experience in the public sector, Jessica Hallstrom draws on the power of creative storytelling to bring the work of nonprofit and research organizations to life. After beginning her career as a legislative assistant in the office of Senator Tom Daschle (D-SD), Jessica went on to serve as a lead writer and communications officer for a range of prominent institutions, including Georgetown University, the Brookings Institution and the Pew Charitable Trusts. Over the last 10 years, Jessica has supported a range of diverse nonprofit organizations across the country with content strategy and development, creating compelling written narratives and multimedia productions. She specializes in crafting a wide range of print and digital publications, including annual reports and long-form articles, newsletters, website and social media content, and has experience producing documentary-style videos. Above all, Jessica is passionate about helping community-led organizations increase their visibility, reach, and impact.
