About our session:

Change Well Project is excited to offer a comprehensive blended learning opportunity designed to provide Housing-Focused Case Managers with

in-depth training tailored specifically to the core competencies and skills needed for their work.

  • This blended learning experience includes a series of self-paced courses combined with live “Putting Knowledge into Practice” sessions with instructors that will deepen understanding of the core responsibilities and essential skills of effective housing case managers. You will be introduced to effective practices in this area of work and learn about homeless response systems structures and strategies.
  • This is a self-paced learning program via the Change Well Project’s Digital Learning Platform—coupled with ”Putting Knowledge into Practice” sessions with instructors following each core learning module to ask questions, participate in exercises and case studies designed to deepen the learning experience, access tools and resources, and more.
  • NOTE:  This curriculum is available to housing case managers working in the following CDSS-funded programs: HDAP, BFH, CalWORKs HSP, and Home Safe programs.  Whether you are new to housing case management or experienced in the work, this training will help you gain new skills and insight into your work.

The six modules of this course will each address an area essential to your work as a housing case manager.

The training program requires a time commitment of 3 hours per week, which includes a two-hour “Putting Knowledge into Practice” application workshop that occurs every three weeks.

This cohort training will start in early February and finish in May.  Attending the onboarding for the training is required.
